Mirroring nature’s intricacy with minimal tools, this lighting installation navigates the interplay between biomimetic algorithms and mathematical constraints. Set within a 3D diagrid lattice, randomness blends with order through algorithms inspired by nature’s growth patterns; creating a synthesis of organic and geometric.

Using only wooden dowels of various thicknesses, screws and lightweight 3D printing, biomimetic algorithms and automated joint creation is utilized in the same computational script to facilitate manufacture of such a complex assembly. With custom-fitted light connections refining the perception of depth and volume, the piece attains an enhanced spatial presence, underscoring its fusion of natural inspiration with technical innovation.
